Help · No cool

Warm air. Hot afternoon. Now what?

Treasure Valley summers don’t wait. Run the safe checks below — then call if it’s still not cooling.

No-cool calls get priority — same-day when possible.

Electrical smell, smoking outdoor unit, or breaker that won’t stay on? Kill power at the breaker if it’s safe to reach, stay clear of the equipment, and call (208) 210-6141.

Quick checks (no tools)

  • Thermostat on Cool, fan Auto, setpoint below room temp
  • Indoor filter clean enough to pass light
  • Outdoor unit free of grass, leaves, or tarps — leave a few feet of clearance
  • Breakers for air handler / AC not tripped (reset once only)

Common questions

Indoor fan runs but air isn’t cold

Could be outdoor unit not running, low refrigerant (not a DIY top-off), or airflow issues. Don’t keep hammering the thermostat — call for AC service.

Outdoor unit is silent

Confirm thermostat call for cool and breakers first. If it’s still dead quiet on a hot day, that’s a service call — not a “wait and see.”

Ice on the lines or coil

Turn the system Off (not just up on the thermostat) and call. Running through ice can make damage worse. Don’t chip ice off with tools.

Will you come same-day?

No-cool gets priority and same-day when possible. Hours 7:00 AM–8:00 PM Mon–Sun. Call (208) 210-6141 for a straight scheduling answer.
